Yes. You read it right! Keep walking around the Jayanagar 4th block enjoying the nature, view and face the wrath in your nose with stench of urine going inside and absolving your soul from within.
Did you walk in Jayanagar 4th block with leather shoes? Better clean with bleach before you come inside your home. Because you are not just entering with you body and mind. But someone else’s urine stuck under your shoes. While you are at it, also burn anything that touched the ground. Somebody call Superman. He can setup shop to burn and incinerate thousands of clothing and shoes using laser eyes.
Who are these people urinating?
Locals and workers in and around Jayanagar 4th block. Feel urgency? Time to go behind the abandoned complex, silently piss away and walk out as if nothing happened.
Did you think it stops there?
Try the Urine Block’s latest trend. Parking in the garbage. Because what better way to park than parking in wet garbage and step down on thrown food, maybe get some ‘Road Dal Gravy’ on your shoes. Have your noticed light yellow brown marks on your shoes? You better hope its only mud. But its probably not.
Aren’t anybody taking care?
If our busy elected representatives can be bothered to get down of the cars and take a walk and keep an eye out or maybe nose out, they would know this. Why should government do everything? Shops and vendors are setup on the street without any permits and where do you expect them to relieve themselves? Remember, when you purchase from anyone who is urinating in public and returning to their work/shops/stalls, you are not purchasing clothes, accessories, food or anything, you are getting something extra with it. A bit of urine and unsanitary hands touch your soul and push your health into abyss.
What should you do?
Ask yourselves this question. If you are buying from any place without restroom facilities, where did they relieve themselves? Did they have to touch your stuff? Do you want to take urine to your home? I will let you take the decision impacting health in your hands. You can put that trust in the “hands” of the anybody you want. Sure, take urine or something worst. But more important, talk about the issue. If you see something, say something. Not just to yourself. Why? Because someone you know could be buying things, interacting maybe with someone who just did this.
What if you are the one doing it? DONT DO IT! Raise your concerns to your shop owner, office manager, take it public if need be. There are some public restrooms around the block. Yes, they are not ideal. Maybe not very clean too. So what? Invite your public elected representatives to use these washrooms/toilets. Let them see the progress they have made. Let them take care if they feel its ok to use them. Invite them to use it every week.
What else can you do?
Tag and send photos. We will make a gallery and tag all the officials. We are going out on street to talk to people. We will do our part and if possible, open your phone camera, click a pic and send it. We have to stop bringing urine and feces to our homes.
